Film Biography
Involved in theatre from the age of six, Laura-May spent much of her time growing up involved in music and plays. She enrolled at a the ESCM, a Parisian performing arts school, in 2003 where she studied music, dance and theatre and was given the opportunity to perform in a reworked version of the musical A Chorus Line in the 200-year old Parisian theatre “Théâtre des Variétés''. After studying art and performance at London’s Queen Mary University of London, she moved to Los Angeles in 2017 where she was able to transfer her theatre skills to film. She has appeared as lead actress and been featured in numerous music videos by artists such as Kail Baxley, Derek Day, Lauv, Galantis, Daphne Guinness, Hopsin; been featured in shows like Netflix’s Soundtrack and ABC’s Stumptown; worked one-on-one with Steven Spielberg for a scene in his film Ready Player One; and has worked as a face double for an Academy Award-winning actress. She maintains an active career in both French and English voiceover and dubbing, in video games, documentaries, children’s books and dubbed shows like Netflix’s Spaceforce, and feature films like Bombshell, Official Secrets and many more.
Thanks to her background in Japanese Jiu-jitsu she has also performed fighting stunts and will be appearing in the upcoming boxing film In His Hands directed by Joshua Gutierrez, to be released on Amazon in 2022. She is trained in firebreathing and fireeating by the London Fire School and appears in the music video "Pressure" by Kiara Simone.
